Organizer Agreement
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This agreement applies to anyone who sells tickets on TicketPlugJA ("organizer", "you"). It adds to our Terms of Use. By creating an organizer account or publishing an event, you agree to it on behalf of yourself or the business you represent.
1. What we do for you
TicketPlugJA sells tickets to your events as your agent, collects the money from buyers, issues tickets, provides the tools to run your door, and pays you your share. You remain the organizer of your events and are responsible for them.
2. Verification
- Before you can publish events, we verify you. You agree to give accurate business and contact details, your tax registration number (TRN), the documents we ask for, and a bank account in your or your business's name.
- We may refuse, pause or end verification, or ask for more information, at any time, including if details change or we suspect fraud.
3. Your events and listings
- You are responsible for everything about your event: that it happens as described, the venue, permits and licences, safety, security, age limits, entry rules, and any statements you make about it.
- Event information, prices, ticket types, capacity and your refund policy must be accurate and lawful. Don't sell more tickets than your venue can safely hold.
- You give us permission to show your event name, description, images and logos on TicketPlugJA and in our promotion of your event. You confirm you have the right to use them.
- We may refuse or remove events that are unlawful, misleading, unsafe, infringe others' rights, or put buyers at risk, and may pause sales while we look into complaints.
4. Fees
- There are no setup or monthly fees. We charge a booking fee on each paid ticket: 9.5% of the ticket price unless we agree otherwise with you. By default fans pay it on top of the ticket price, so you receive your full ticket price; you can choose to absorb it instead, in which case it comes out of your share.
- We pay the card processor's charges out of the booking fee. They never come out of your ticket money.
- Paid tickets must be priced at JMD 2,000 (US$20) or more, unless we agree a different minimum with you. Free tickets are welcome.
- We will tell you in advance of any change to your fees. Changes don't apply to tickets already sold.
- Free tickets have no booking fee.
5. Payouts
- Your share of ticket sales (the ticket price, less any discounts you offered and fees you absorb) is held until your event has happened. It becomes available 3 days after the event ends, and is paid by bank transfer on our next weekly payout (Tuesdays).
- Your finance page shows what is available, pending and paid, and you can download statements.
- We may hold payouts while a complaint, dispute or chargeback is open, if your account is under review, or if an event is cancelled or significantly changed.
- If refunds or chargebacks exceed what we hold for you, the difference is taken from your future payouts, or you agree to repay it on request.
6. Refunds, cancellations and chargebacks
- You set your event's refund policy, and buyers can request refunds under it. You agree to review requests promptly.
- If you cancel an event, every buyer is refunded the ticket price and booking fee. The ticket price comes from your share; you agree to cover any refunds we make on your behalf.
- If an event is postponed or significantly changed, you must tell us straight away. We may offer buyers refunds where the law or fairness requires it.
- You are responsible for chargebacks and payment disputes on your events, and we will ask you for evidence to defend them.
7. Promoters, discounts and the widget
You may add promoters, set their commission, create discount codes, and sell through our widget on your own website. Commission owed to your promoters is between you and them; our reports show what each promoter sold. Your website must not change or copy our checkout.
8. The door
- You may pair phones as scanners for your events. You are responsible for who you give pairing codes to, and should remove any scanner that is lost.
- Where we provide our door crew, they scan tickets and manage the guest list only. Security, crowd control and safety remain your responsibility, and our crew may stop scanning if they feel unsafe.
9. Attendee information
You receive your buyers' details to run your event. You agree to use them only for that event and related customer service, to keep them secure, not to sell them, and to follow Jamaica's Data Protection Act, 2020. Send marketing only to people who have agreed to receive it.
10. Taxes
You are responsible for taxes on your ticket sales, including GCT and entertainment taxes, and for any permits or licences. Our booking fee may include tax where required.
11. Suspension and ending this agreement
You can stop selling at any time, but events already on sale must be delivered or cancelled with refunds. We may suspend or end your account for breaking this agreement, fraud, repeated complaints or legal risk; money owed to buyers is refunded first, and any balance is paid to you once no claims remain.
12. Liability
You agree to cover us for claims arising from your events, your content or your breach of this agreement. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the fees we earned from your events in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.
13. Changes and law
We may update this agreement with notice to you by email or in your organizer dashboard. It is governed by the laws of Jamaica, and the courts of Jamaica have jurisdiction.
