Refund Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Each organizer sets the refund rules for their event, and they are shown on the event page and at checkout before you pay. This page explains how refunds work on TicketPlugJA.
1. The event's refund policy
Every event has one of these policies:
- No refunds: tickets can't be refunded unless the event is cancelled.
- Refunds until a set time: you can request a refund up to a number of days before the event, as shown on its page.
Organizers may also approve a refund outside their policy at their discretion.
2. How to ask for a refund
Open the link in your ticket email (or your account's My tickets) and choose Request a refund. Pick the tickets you want refunded and tell the organizer why. The organizer approves or declines the request, and we email you either way. Tickets you ask to refund keep working until the refund is approved.
3. What you get back
- Approved refund request: the ticket price. The booking fee is not refunded unless the organizer chooses to include it.
- Event cancelled: the ticket price and the booking fee, for every ticket, automatically. You don't need to ask.
- Charged but no tickets issued (for example, tickets sold out while you were paying): refunded in full.
Once a ticket is refunded, its code stops working and it can't be used to enter.
4. How long it takes
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. After we send a refund, it usually appears within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. We'll email you when it has been sent.
5. Postponed or changed events
If an event moves to a new date or changes significantly, your tickets normally stay valid for the new date. The organizer decides whether refunds are offered, and we will email you the options.
6. Tickets you received from a friend
Refunds are paid to the person who bought the tickets, on the card they used. If a ticket was sent to you, ask the buyer to request the refund.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; we can usually sort it out faster. Tickets on a disputed payment may be cancelled while the dispute is open.
8. Your rights
This policy doesn't take away any rights you have under Jamaican consumer law. See also our Terms of Use.
